How can I help?

Our organization runs thanks to the thousands of hours our volunteers devote maintaining the barn, assisting with classes, fundraising and training horses. One of the biggest contributions you can make is by becoming a volunteer. Each new volunteer pays a $25 fee which makes them a member of our organization, they receive a t-shirt, name tag, handbook and bi-monthly newsletter.

To Become a Volunteer

Step One: Call our Volunteer Coordinators, at (954) 974-8889 or (954) 974-2007 to sign up for our next orientation. We host orientations during the week and on weekends.

Step Two: After learning about the different jobs, check your schedule for when you are available. We log up to 1,000 hours of volunteer time each month. Our volunteers are what make our program possible. As such we rely on you and your commitment to our program to serve our students.

Step Three: There are registration and release forms that must be filled annually. Please follow the link above for the forms. If you are a new volunteer, you can fill them out and bring them with you to your orientation. If you are renewing your paperwork, please fill them out and return them to the office.

Types of jobs volunteers do:

Barn maintenance including feeding and cleaning 7 days a week.
Assisting with our therapeutic riding classes as sidewalkers and handlers. This is a great opportunity to "witness the magic" of our program directly and through the eyes of our students. Many volunteers become devoted to the students they serve and it creates a beautiful bond.
Horse care includes grooming and feeding of the horses 7 days a week.
There are numerous jobs available at our different fundraising events. We are always looking for people with new ideas and energy to assist us with these very important fundraisers.
Office assistance is another area many of our volunteers contribute. People with phone skills, computer skills and a desire to help are always welcome.
